Washington, June 17: Microsoft Corporation has named Chief Executive Officer Satya Nadella as its new director, instead of John Thompson.
On Wednesday, it reported that the free heads of the board collectively chose the Indian-beginning Nadella. As per The Verge, it is the first run through in quite a while that Microsoft’s administrator will likewise be its CEO, after the product goliath’s prime supporter Bill Gates initially ventured down as CEO in 2000.
Likewise, Thompson, who took over as administrator from Bill Gates in 2014, will fill in as lead autonomous chief.
Satya Nadella was designated Microsoft CEO in 2014 in the wake of assuming control over the situation from Steve Ballmer.
Nadella’s Twitter bio now peruses as ‘Executive and CEO of Microsoft Corporation’.
The new change comes after Bill Gates formally left the Microsoft board totally in 2020.
